The death of a 25-year-old woman in Jundiaí, in the interior of São Paulo, was confirmed on Friday night (25), by the Civil Defense of São Paulo. The young woman was found inside a car after the waters in the region receded.
She was the fourth victim of rain in the statecaused by a cyclone that hits the south of the country and neighboring Uruguay and Argentina.
Due to the intensity of the winds, 48 people were left homeless in the interior of the state.
Impact on Congonhas
Although Congonhas Airport did not receive heavy rain today and operates normally for landings and takeoffs, according to the concessionaire Aena, 25 takeoffs were canceled due to airline network adjustments, reflecting impacts from the rains the day before.
