The Third National Meeting of the Vice Presidency for the Communal Councils and Communes of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) was held in Caracas, where the authorities debated various proposals to promote Popular Power. The vice president for the Communal Councils and Communes, Jorge Arreaza, stated that “the party is the fundamental arm of the political vanguard, the first political ring of the Revolution; “must facilitate the strengthening of Popular Power.”
In this way, Arreaza asserted that the country, after the presidential elections of July 28, is in a phase of radicalization of the Bolivarian Revolution: «It is with the people that issues are resolved in a Revolution. As President Nicolás Maduro said, we are going to renew and recover time, we are going to the structural, and the first thing at this point is Popular Power, that is why organization with the people must be generated from within.
For his part, the Vice President of Organization of the PSUV, Pedro Infante, during the meeting, highlighted that currently the issue of promoting the communes and reorganization has been revived. «The organization of the party must connect with the communal issue. The main task of the party must be the development of the Communes. Our country is at war. It has enemies: imperialism, Zionism. There are those who are waging war to try to overthrow us; This is accompanied by economic war; “We must organize the communes.”
For her part, the second vice president of the National Assembly, América Pérez, pointed out that consolidating the Young Commune is a priority, so that young people contribute and generate ideas to achieve what they dream of. “As President Nicolás Maduro has instructed, youth must be mobilized to consolidate the plan of the Young Commune, which is true territorial socialism.”
