Colombia activates exit protocols for 68 Ukrainian citizens

“68 nationals and 28 foreigners who are part of the circle or family nucleus of these people were identified. Conversations have been taking place with several countries and in coordination with our Foreign Ministry to facilitate the departure of our compatriots from Ukrainian territory”the president said in a statement.

Duque explained that his government has “Very advanced talks and coordination with Poland and Romania”, and what will you have today “talks with Hungary and Slovakia in order to give our compatriots more options to leave Ukrainian territory.”

In this sense, Duque assured that “Colombia categorically rejects the war and joins all the voices of the international community that today call for a rapid withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukrainian territory.”

“Colombia will actively participate in all the corresponding multilateral forums to seek the greatest international coordination that allows for humanitarian responses to this serious situation and that also reflects the need to apply all the corresponding sanctions,” he added.

Duque described the Russian invasion not only as a “attacks the sovereignty of Ukraine but rather the integrity of its territory and ignores both the Minsk agreements and the declarations of the UN General Assembly issued in 2014 in defense of the integrity of the territory” of the European country.
