Santo Domingo.- Two of the executives of the Dominican Modern Pentathlon Federation were arrested for their alleged involvement in a case about administrative corruption.
These are Freddy Núñez, and Evaristo Ozoria Rodríguez, president and treasurer of FEDOPEMrespectively, who are charged embezzlement, use of false documents and fraud against the State.
The Public Ministry indicated that in the actions deployed on the morning of this October 25, 2024, raided residences in the National District and the María Trinidad Sánchez province, as well as in the facilities of FEDOPEMlocated in the Olympic Center Juan Pablo Duarte.

In the raids carried out, hundreds of documents related to the investigationwhich serve as support to the Public Ministry in the case.
The operation was carried out through the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (Pepca) together with members of the National Police and Special Units.

In the next few hours the Public Ministry will proceed to request coercive measure corresponding against the detainees, who remain in the Deprivation of Liberty Care Center of the National District Prosecutor’s Office.
