Fesirmes and the mayor reach agreements, but the 72-hour strike continues

The Federation of Unions of Medical Branches of Public Health (Fesirmes) and Mayor Jhonny Fernández reached some agreements this Friday afternoon. Despite this, The health sector still maintains the 72-hour strike in force scheduled for next week, starting Wednesday.

“We are not going to fall like the other times; we keep the 72-hour strike in force, until the determinations are made which we will reach next Monday,” warned Echazú, in front of the media.

The agreements

Among the agreements reached this Friday afternoon are issues such as: job stability, lto rehiring of the total cap, independent of the deceased; the immediate replacement of workersthe evaluation of the catering service in charge of feeding professionals, the transfer of a morgue and the installation of technical tables to address shortcomings in the public system.

On the other hand, Echazú ruled out that the resignation or removal of Adriana Amelunge from her position as municipal secretary of Health has been requested.

For his part, the mayor, Johnny Fernández gave his report to the media: “We have agreed that with the companies we will verify everything that has been advanced and everything that needs to be advanced. “They also committed to the construction of a new morgue. So now we want to ask them again that, if they (the central government) commit the resources, The mayor agrees to give them a property, a piece of land so that we can build a morgue.; but now thinking about the future, 50, 100 years, so that we can continue with this situation,” concluded the mayor of Santa Cruz.
