Jesús de la Fuente Rodríguez is the new president of the CNBV

“He has extensive work experience in the National Banking Commissions; Banking and Insurance, and Banking and Securities; He is a member of the National System of Researchers of CONACyT specialized in the financial sector, mainly in the analysis, research and innovation of theoretical and practical aspects ”, said the Treasury.

He is the author of 15 specialized books, has been a trainer of executive cadres in various government institutions and a member of the academic faculty of prestigious universities in the country at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

When presenting his work plan, de la Fuente stressed that it is essential to achieve greater efficiency in the performance of the Commission and reduce response times towards the regulated, in the exercise of their functions, strengthening the technical skills of the CNBV staff.

The official highlighted the relevance of the Commission in terms of supervision and sanctions, for which, he said, it will apply a rigorous policy of prevention and zero tolerance to any abuse and illegal acts of regulated financial entities.
