The Oversight Commission summoned Jesús Poma, the lawyer of the presidential driver, Félix Montalvo, to testify on Wednesday the 30th regarding the escape of Vladimir Cerrón.

The call occurs within the framework of investigations into alleged links between the presidential administration and Cerrón, leader of a party with pending legal proceedings.

This is the summons to the presidential driver’s lawyer.

The Oversight Commission seeks to clarify whether there was participation from the presidential entourage in this departure from the country, in a context of high political tension and growing scrutiny over the use of State resources and influences for personal or party purposes.

The president of the commission, Juan Burgos, advanced Peru21last week, that the presidential driver was going to be summoned again as well as all those involved.

This summons responds to the need to obtain evidence and testimony that will clarify the events that occurred between January and February, the date on which Cerrón would have hidden in the Mikonos condominium, on Asia Beach, and his subsequent escape from the country.

Burgos has indicated that if the involvement of the official vehicle is proven, a new chapter would open in the political crisis involving the government and the president.

Jesús Poma must provide information about his client and his participation in this alleged escape.

THE PRESIDENT IS CALLED FOR THE 29TH

As already reported Peru21the head of state has been summoned to testify to the Oversight Commission on Tuesday the 29th.

If President Dina Boluarte does not attend that day, a delegation from that group will send her an invitation letter to interview her in person in her office.

The president and vice president of the Oversight Commission, Juan Burgos and Héctor Valer, assured Perú21 that if the president does not attend the summons, they will request the green light to do so in person at the Presidential Office.
