The relatives of the compatriots assure that they are disoriented and do not know how to leave Ukraine.
The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Juan Carlos Holguín, confirmed last night (February 23, 2022), that there are 700 Ecuadorians in Ukraine after it became known that the east of that country was invaded by forces of Russia. Most are students who live in more than 18 different cities.
Through social networks, since dawn, there are messages from friends and relatives of those Ecuadorians who claim that they have no clear idea where to go to get out of Ukraine. This despite the fact that for weeks the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has maintained contact with compatriots.
Brazilian soccer players ask to be evacuated
In the meantime, brazilian players who play for Dinamo Kiev and Shakhtar Donetsk publicly asked, together with their families, for help to get out of Ukraine after the start of the war with Russia.
Junior Moraes, who came to Ukraine in 2017 through Dinamo Kiev and who now plays for Shakhtar, published an initial call for help on his social networks: «The situation is very serious for all our friends and family. We are stuck in Kiev and waiting for a solution.”
