THE TV Brasil broadcasts, starting at 9:30 pm (Brasília time) this Friday (25), a confrontation between teams that still dream of access to Series A of the Brazilian Championship. Goiás and Amazonas meet at the Serrinha stadium, in Goiânia, in a delayed match of the 18th round of Series B.
Occupying 10th place in the standings with 45 points won, Esmeraldino hopes to maintain its good momentum in the competition, after beating Chapecoense 4-0 at Arena Condá, in Chapecó.
According to coach Vagner Mancini, the guarantee of access to Serie A is still far away, but the victory gives hope: “We know it is a victory [sobre a Chapecoense] that still gives us hope. It is still difficult to access, but, based on what we are doing, we hope to be able to enter the field, play good games and improve Goiás. Even with remote chances, we believe.”
For the match with Amazonas, Goiás has at least one certain change, striker Breno Herculano, suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards. With this, Esmeraldino must start the confrontation with: Tadeu; Diego, Lucas Ribeiro, Messias and Sander; Marcão, Juninho and Rafael Gava; Welliton, Ángelo Rodríguez and Rildo.
However, Goiás should not have an easy life this Friday, as Amazonas (which also has 45 points, but in 11th place) also dreams of Serie A. But, unlike Esmeraldino, who triumphed in the last round, Onça Pintada comes from a setback, 1-0 for Vila Nova.
But coach Rafael Lacerda believes that the team can still have a good end to the championship: “We will have a very good final stretch of the championship, we will fight every game to represent this shirt, which I have a lot of respect for”.
