He recalled that originally the reform modified four articles of the Constitution and four transitional articles were proposed, but the ruling commissions decided to only modify two articles. These changes occurred after the controversy generated by the proposal raised by Morena.
The reform modifies article 105 to indicate that constitutional controversies or unconstitutionality actions that aim to contest additions or reforms to this Constitution are inadmissible.
It also changes article 107 to establish that the amparo trial against additions or reforms to this Constitution will not proceed. In addition, there are two transitional articles to order that matters that are pending must be resolved in accordance with these modifications.
This reform occurs after Judge Nancy Juárez ordered the federal government to remove the reform of the Judicial Branch from the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF). President Claudia Sheinbaum refused to comply with the order.
