The advance was a consequence of the better performance of Compañía Minera Antamina SA, Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde SAA, Southern Copper Corporation, Minera Las Bambas SA and Minera Chinalco Perú SA

Despite the result, the accumulated production of copper between January and August was 1,759,175 TMF, which reflected a tiny decrease of 0.7% compared to what was reported in the same period.

Minem revealed that in the eighth month of 2024, silver production grew 30%, while lead production increased by 10.1%, and molybdenum production expanded by 42.4%.
