Premier Adrianzén ratifies himself and passes to Santiváñez

With 4% approval they ratify each other. The president of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzén, categorically ruled out the departure of the questioned Minister of the Interior, Juan José Santiváñez; ratified the permanence of the rest of the members of the cabinet, and maintained that these rumors are unfounded and are being created “from a perverse sector with the aim of destabilizing the Government” Dina Boluarte.

“There are not going to be changes and, you can be sure, that is not going to happen in the Ministry of the Interior, nor in the Ministry of Justice, nor in any other,” he stated categorically.

Referring to his case, he specifically said that he has “no reason” to doubt his continuity in the cabinet. “I have not submitted my resignation; The president hasn’t asked me for it either. (…) We not only have the confidence of the president, but also her permanent encouragement (…), so here we are, the head of the Council of Ministers and each of the loyal ministers. And in relation to that gossip, forget it, change the source,” he responded to the journalist, annoyed and blasé.

Consolation of fools

Santiváñez also defended his position. A few days after the first 30 days of the state of emergency in 14 districts of Lima and Callao, he did not want to answer if he maintains his offer to resign from office if the plan designed to combat insecurity does not give results.

On the contrary, he flaunted a lot of figures that, in his opinion, show that the results in the fight against crime are positive. “I am going to be clear and forceful: the results say it and speak for themselves, and the ones we have are absolutely positive. So far in the state of emergency, we have more than 10,570 operations, we have dismantled 453 gangs and 7 criminal organizations, seized 532 firearms…,” he said.

However, when he was questioned about the twenty deaths caused by hitmen that have been recorded in the capital since the state of emergency came into effect, he replied that “in other countries the percentage of crime is much higher than in Peru. (…) Look, in Ecuador there are 80, in Chile more than 120,” he indicated.

At another time, Adrianzen justified the evasive answers that the head of state gave to the press, last Tuesday, about the use of the presidential ‘chest’ and Vladimir Cerrón. “I have seen it very well; At no time has he been arrogant. (…) Please, turn the page now. “This is being investigated in the Prosecutor’s Office, and you guys should come on with the nonsense,” he claimed, displaying the same arrogance of his boss.

PLEASE NOTE

In the same style as the president and the premier, the head of the Interior complained that the achievements of his administration are not disseminated “because the free-to-air channels are not interested in putting that type of news.” Furthermore, he alleged: “That is why we are active on networks.”

The Minister of the Interior, Eduardo Arana, reported that the Executive has approved S/3,000 million to improve prison infrastructure.
