Torres explained that the situation in Lebanon is uncertain, noting that a building was destroyed the night before the flight. Despite the risks, it was possible to coordinate with personnel in the country to guarantee a safe space for evacuation.

Foreign Minister Luis Gilberto Murillo indicated that, despite some discomfort experienced by the passengers, the operation passed without major incidents, thanks to the medical care provided during the journey.

This flight represents a joint effort between the Colombian Air Force and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, underscoring the government’s commitment to supporting its citizens in difficult circumstances.
