Santo Domingo.- The rains will continue, at least until Friday, due to the presence of a trough, which is why eight provinces are on “green alert,” the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported this Wednesday afternoon.
The rains are expected to continue over provinces located on the southern coast, plus the eastern, northeastern and northern regions of the country, according to the report.
The torrents will continue over the provinces of San Pedro de Macorís, La Altagracia, San Cristóbal, Monte Plata, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, La Vega, Espaillat and Monseñor Nouel.

Meanwhile, the United States National Hurricane Center (CNH) reported that no tropical cyclones are expected to form in the next 48 hours.
