BBVA Brazil has a team of 40 people that includes bankers and specialists in key areas such as finance, risks and legal, led by a management committee made up primarily of local profiles with extensive knowledge of the Brazilian market.
This team already supports more than 50 clients and has participated in relevant operations such as the bond issues of Nexa, LD Celulose and Eletrobras or the financing of Randon and Embraer. BBVA will continue to strengthen its team in Brazil in line with its business ambition and commitment to growth in the region.
The head of BBVA CIB Brazil, Agustina Ramírez, stated that the Brazilian market offers extraordinary potential for the development of financial solutions that not only promote sustainability, but also respond to the diverse needs of clients.
“We want to accompany the country’s main companies in their growth, supporting them both in their transition towards a more sustainable future and in the implementation of financial strategies adapted to their most immediate challenges,” he said.
The Brazilian market represents 50% of South America’s wholesale revenues, with some 250 companies that invoice more than $1 billion annually. 80% of BBVA’s most relevant corporate clients already have a presence in Brazil, which represents an opportunity to expand the entity’s offering.
