In addition to being director of the DGAPP, Carlos Pimentel will continue in Purchasing, but honorary

Además de director de la DGAPP, Carlos Pimentel seguirá en Compras, pero honorífico

President Luis Abinader issued decree number 614-24, which appoints Carlos Pimentel as the new executive director of the General Directorate of Public-Private Partnerships (DGAPP), and at the same time, with the same provision, will continue to be the head of the General Directorate of Public Procurement (DGCP), but in an honorary way.

In a note sent to the press, the Government pointed out that the decision seeks to “continue making more efficient and strengthening transparency in contracting processes under the public-private alliance model.”

Article 2 of the decree also establishes the presentation to the Executive Branch, within a period of 12 months, of a detailed proposal for the structural and regulatory readjustment of the DGCP and the DGAPP.

«This proposal will have the purpose of optimizing operational and regulatory processes, aligning both institutions under the strategic objectives of the Dominican State, in order to guarantee effectiveness, transparency and coherence in the implementation of public procurement and public-private alliances» , ends the note.
