The execution of this contract is under the supervision of the Attorney General’s Office, which has initiated preventive supervision proceedings. The entity seeks to evaluate how the resources destined to improve tertiary roads are being used and ensure transparency in the public contracting process. According to reports from the Investigative Unit of EL TIEMPO, the Attorney General’s Office is collecting information on the investment, compliance and execution of contracts.
Since August 2022, a total of 87,133 million pesos have been delivered to the JACs, directly supporting road infrastructure in various communities. The implementation of ‘solidarity agreements’, which allow communities to actively participate in the execution of works, has been key in this process.
