One day after his endorsement of Juan José Santiváñezthe president of the Republic, Dina Boluarteparticipated in a public activity accompanied by the head of the Interior.
In this context, the president reiterated that the Government will not cease in the task of combating crime with intelligence actions and operations carried out by the National Police.
“Day by day, more criminals who have made extortion their way of life are falling and soon their leaders will also fall, both national and foreign, for the peace of mind of housewives, students, and workers,” said the head of state.

Along those lines, he insisted that “those criminals who cause so much damage to security will soon be caught.”
“At this crucial moment it is up to us all to be a single fist to defeat crime; let us not echo hatred or division, let us echo the unity that we so need,” he said.
The president made this exhortation during the delivery of 620 self-contained breathing protective equipment to the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru.
In this activity, the president recognized the firefighters’ commitment to the country and their vocation for service. “We want to express our gratitude for everything they do and will continue to do for Peru,” he said.
He took the opportunity, however, to say that his Government will continue talking about works. “There is no place for lies, empty promises or false hopes; here what we have is a government seriously committed to the progress and security of all our compatriots,” he said.
