The Panama es Cultura y Valores team is already on Guatemalan soil to compete in the Vuelta a Guatemala, which begins next Friday with a 157.6 kilometer stage.
The Panamanian squad is made up of Chiricans Franklin Archibold, Cristofer Vargas and Alex Strah; Randish Lorenzo from Colon; Christofer Jurado from Chorrerano; and the blacksmith Bredio Ruiz.
This Friday, the route of the first day will be between Santa Catarina Pinula, Condado Concepción, El Cerinal, Barberena, Los Esclavos, La Conora, Monjas and Jalapa.
«We are very motivated for this race, this new challenge for the Panama team is Culture and Values. We have a homogeneous group, with fast runners who defend themselves on the climbs,” said Franklin Archibold, who has just been the best national in the Tour of Panama, where he also won three stages.
For his part, Bredio Ruiz was also very motivated to be able to represent the country once again in such a demanding event.
“We are prepared for what we have to do: the packaging, trying to win stages and being protagonists,” contributed the Chitrean.
The Tour of Guatemala consists of 10 stages and a route of 1,158 kilometers.
The participation of 19 teams of different nationalities gives a special touch to this test, which will end on November 3.
