With the presentation of the achievements in the period 2022-2024, the Colonia Tourism Association renewed its authorities for two years, with Andrés Castellano being elected president.
The meeting took place at the Bit Center, on Monday the 21st, with the presence of departmental authorities, headed by Mayor Carlos Moreira.

Advances
The achievements in the period 2022 to 2024 of the outgoing commission were reported:
– The 3-year work of the Colonia SME Center, the Association being ANDE’s strategic partner for its operation: exceeding goals, presence in 41 locations, more than 1,000 companies and ventures served, coordination with shopping centers and institutions in the department.
– Associative projects that have linked more than 60 companies and mobilized resources for more than $4,000,000: Colonia Wineries, Km 0 Gastronomy, Marketing for Colonia Inns, Cheese Route, Promotion of real estate investments, Meeting Tourism in Colonia .
– Organization of the National Wine Tourism Meeting, and the 1st Cologne Gastronomic Tourism Meeting. Development of LGBT Tourism in coordination with Colonia Diversa.
– Colonia Tourism Demand Analysis Project, which creates a web platform to digitize the department’s Tourism Observatory, a project that is executed with ANDE for a total investment of $4,366,000.
– Annual Promotion Plan, defined with the Departmental Tourism Directorate, including fairs and workshops, fam tours and digital marketing actions in Uruguay and the region.
– Generation of content and promotional campaigns per station, coordinating with the Public Relations and Press Directorate.
– Plan of guidelines on social networks, with funds provided by the Montes del Plata company and the Municipality of Colonia.
– Permanent update of the destination website, exponential growth of users, going from 5,000 to more than 20,000 monthly entries and increasing public access in the region.
