The 13-point statement of the blocking evistas the department of Cochabamba was ratified this Tuesday afternoon; while President Luis Arce, anticipating the document, said that The processes and disqualification against Evo Morales will not be settled. In this way, arcism and evismism returned to their trenches.

Respect and recognition to the MAS-IPSP Congress which took place in the town of Lauca Ñ, Cochabamba; respect for legitimate union organizations; “that the criminalization of the indigenous and peasant movement be stopped,” point out two of the 13 requests made by the evismo transformed into ‘the people’s general staff’.

But the response was anticipated by the Head of State, in a mass event organized by the Bartolina Sisa federation of peasant women from Tarija. “We also see that abuse against our boys and girls continues. That can’t happen, children are not touched. And no blockade is going to save anyone from issues like this,” Arce warned at the event in direct reference to Evo Morales, who is on trial for statutory rape in Tarija.

In turn evistas propose a Summit with all economic, social and political actors to agree on measures; the holding of primary elections and the preparation of a legislative agenda in moments prior to the election of directors.

This Tuesday marked the ninth day of the blockade of roads in the country and the number of points increased between the departments of Cochabamba and Santa Cruz, the region where Morales’s political strength is born. But discontent is already beginning to spread in all cities against massism since they consider former president Evo Morales and his successor, Luis Arce, responsible for the current situation.
