With this triumph, Tricolor das Laranjeiras made a leap in the standings, taking 11th place with 36 points, opening a gap of four points to the first team within the Z4 (relegation zone), Corinthians. Furacão is in 18th place with 31 points.
Despite coming out with the victory, Fluminense did not have an easy time facing Athletico-PR who entered the field with the clear mission of not offering space for the opponent. Furacão’s strategy worked well until 35 minutes into the second half, when Cano ended up deflecting the ball into the back of the goal after it was raised in the area.
