Judicial authorities and the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) clashed yesterday over the cases of the alleged kidnapping of capo Ismael May Zambada and the murder of the former rector of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, Héctor Melesio Cuén.
In the morning, in the first public conference of judges and magistrates, they sought to deny that federal judge Alejandro Alberto Díaz, of the Federal Criminal Justice Center of Culiacán, Sinaloa, refused to issue the arrest warrant against Joaquín Guzmán López, son of Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán, for the crimes of kidnapping Zambada and treason by handing him over to the United States, as the FGR stated on Sunday.
They assured that the above does not correspond to reality
because it was the same federal Public Ministry that impressions
In his arguments he withdrew the accusation at the end of the almost eight-hour hearing before Judge Díaz. What is not correct is to say that the judge refused to issue the arrest warrant. The judge did not rule. So clear
said Judge Juan José Olvera López.
However, the FGR issued a statement last night in which it reiterated that there was rejection by the judge and used the transcript of what Judge Díaz said: It is considered that the person who should hear the request to issue an arrest warrant in this type of crimes is a federal judge in whose jurisdiction a maximum security prison resides.
.
Regarding the murder of the former rector, according to the FGR, with expert evidence it confirmed that Melesio Cuén was murdered in the same place where the leader of the Sinaloa cartel was allegedly kidnapped, May Zambada.
“In relation to the discovery of blood evidence at the site of the possible kidnapping and that the statement indicates that they have been determined with complete precision, by the federal expert units, which correspond to the former rector…”, but the version contrasts with that of the state prosecutor’s office, in which he specified that after carrying out the genetic report, the conclusion was that those blood stains They do not coincide with Héctor Melesio Cuén
and that they are waiting for (the comparison) to be carried out with genetic profiles of two missing people.
Yesterday, the FGR also refuted the judges, pointing out that as far as blood signs are concerned
found at the site of the possible kidnapping, located on September 18, these were already surpassed by evidence found on said property, expertly reported on last October 17, and the undoubted coincidence of the genetic profile of Dr. Héctor N was found.
