Orsi in Rocha: “We have to show what has been done”

“We have to show a program, we have to show our proposals, but we also have to show the actions of each of us when it was our turn to assume responsibilities, in each of the issues,” said Orsi.

The former mayor of Canelones recalled the construction of sports centers in his department as a concrete example of the policies applied during his administration. “Today they asked me, there in Castillos, if we continued with the idea that Tabaré carried out, with respect to sport. And I remembered, in our case, […] We ended up building 12 in Canelones, and every time we inaugurate one, the next day it is full,” he noted.

Orsi also mentioned some of the most relevant milestones of the Frente Amplio governments, such as the creation of the National Integrated Health System, the expansion of fiber optics throughout the country, and the installation of the underwater cable that, as he explained, will allow Google operates in the country thanks to the previous work carried out by Antel. “We can talk about the change in the energy matrix, the National Care System […] and we can show all that, because it is a fact of reality,” said the candidate.

Despite the achievements made, Orsi acknowledged that there are still pending tasks. “Of course things were missing, of course, and that is why we are here, and we continue to be, and we will continue to be here because we want to build the best proposal for the country,” he concluded.
