The GNB recovered five rifles and 238 cartridges

Members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) recovered five rifles belonging to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb), according to reports.

The discovery occurred in the coastal sector of Sabana Alta, Píritu municipality, Falcón state, when the military observed a group of armed individuals who, when they noticed the commission, fled through a wooded area, leaving the building in a state of abandonment. weapons, according to a report from Coastal Surveillance Command No. 13.

The weapons recovered are: an AK-103 7.62X39 caliber rifle; a 5.56X45 caliber AR-15 mm rifle; two light automatic rifles (FAL) and a Mossberg 500 shotgun. The war material recovered also included nine magazines and 238 cartridges of different calibers, the military report says.

The procedure was notified to the Public Ministry.

In the sector where they recovered the weapons, a drug trafficking group called the “Sabanas Altas Cartel” operates, led by Omar Hurtado (Viejo Hurtado), according to investigations.
