In conference, the president of the Senate, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, reported that the coordinator of Morena, Ricardo Monreal, requested three places of the five available to join this group.
“The next step we have is, effectively, the formation of the Evaluation Committee, made up of five members, it is only one of the Legislative Branch. There our colleague and friend Ricardo Monreal wanted three of the five people who are going to evaluate,” the senator reproached.
However, Fernández Noroña assured that the Upper House is the one that leads the evaluation task.
“The Senate is the one that leads the task of evaluation, but I believe that it is not a quota issue; I think it is to agree on profiles that are of very high level, that are very prestigious people in the area of law, in such a way that the message is very powerful to the citizens,” he declared.
