STF has a fire principle; servers are removed from the building

The Federal Supreme Court (STF) building was evacuated in the early evening of Monday (21) after a fire broke out. There are no injuries. STF has a fire principle; servers are removed from the building

The incident occurred in annex 2 of the Court, where the ministers’ offices and the court’s plenary sessions are located.

According to information from employees who were at the scene and managed to leave the building, the fire started in the air conditioning system.

Teams of private firefighters took action after the fire alarm sounded and prevented the flames from spreading. The Fire Department then arrived and helped with the work. The team checks the situation on the 2nd floor.

According to the Fire Department, six people suffered smoke inhalation and were treated. Now, firefighters are working to remove the smoke with a fan.

The expert will check the situation of the building this Tuesday (22) to inform whether access will be possible.
