María Trinidad Sánchez. – The Proconstruction Committee of the Nagua-Los Oréganos highway held a meeting with the Ombudsman, Pablo Ulloa, in which they requested his intervention to manage the construction of a highway that will connect several communities in the María Trinidad Sánchez province.
The commission made up of priests, producers, representatives of neighborhood associations, among other social organizations, delivered a letter to Ulloa accompanied by a portfolio with copies of all the communications sent to the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader and the Minister of Public Works. (MOPC), Deligne Asención, to come and proceed with the start of the work that will impact hundreds of families in the district.
They pointed out that they have been waiting for years for the authorities to take action on the matter and solve the problem that affects the towns of Arroyo al Medio, Los Cerros, El Sauco, Cañoteloso, Los Cachimbos, Las Colmenas, El Guayabo, El Ramonal and Los Oreganos.
Likewise, they pointed out that the measurements, studies and budgets of the aforementioned road infrastructure have already been carried out by Public Works technicians. They specified that they are only waiting for the tender and allocation of economic resources for its construction.
When speaking with the community members, within the framework of the Route of Rights, the head of the constitutional body said that he will study the documents that were delivered to him in order to respond in the coming days.
