The president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, committed during the president’s weekly program Con Maduro+ so that before November 15, the review and reform processes of the five laws of Popular Power that are pending will be completed: Organic Law of the Special Jurisdiction of Justice and Peace, Law of the Popular Economic System, Organic Law of Political Organization and Participation. “This will allow the communal budget to be included in the national budget law, which must be approved before December 15.
He recalled that it was from the hand of Commander Chávez that the great 8 laws of Popular Power were developed: the Law of Communal Councils, Law of Social Comptrollership, Organic Law of Popular Power, Law of Popular Communication, Law of Special Jurisdiction of Justice and Peace, Law of the Popular Economic System and the most important of all because it is the popular development that is the Organic Law of the Communes.
Assuming an instruction from President Maduro, the National Assembly began the work of reviewing and reforming this set of laws, to adapt them to the new times, “to make them more agile in order to develop an effective Communal Economic System that could participate in the development of our new economy,” said Maduro.
In this way, not only the National Assembly, but mainly the Popular Power, the Communal Councils, took on the task of reviewing this entire set of regulations. As a result of this work, the reform of the Law of Communal Councils, the Law of the Social Comptroller and the Organic Law of Popular Power has already been enacted.
