The Ministry of Health of Panama (MINSA) has taken a significant step towards the modernization of health services by launching the Pre-Appointment and Patient Portal platforms. These digital tools allow patients to carry out procedures remotely, facilitating the confirmation of medical appointments and access to information related to their health. Through this platform, patients can enter their personal information and request medical appointments easily and efficiently. Currently, the Pre-Appointment platform is operational in the North Panama Region, specifically in the Chilibre and Caimito Health Centers. For its part, the Patient Portal (PDP) offers users the possibility of consulting updated information about their appointments, laboratory results and other aspects related to their medical care. Both platforms are available on the Ministry’s official website, https://raisa.minsa.gob.pa. The MINSA seeks to improve care and access to health services, providing patients with tools that allow them to manage their medical information in a more practical and agile way. In addition, the RAISA system has been implemented, an assisted registry that provides access to medical data, prescriptions, laboratory results, and monitoring of administered vaccines. The implementation of these technological solutions extends to various health centers and hospitals in the country, including the Children’s Hospital, the San Miguel Arcángel Hospital and the Specialized Institute of Integral Neurodevelopment (IENDI).
