Chiriquí achieves its second consecutive victory in the LPBF

On the second date of the Panamanian Women’s Basketball League (LPBF) held yesterday, Saturday, October 19, the Chiriquí Felinas scored their second consecutive victory of the season by a score of 59 to 54 against the girls of La U Girls Hoops; in the first match held at the La Basita gym, in the city of David.

Colombian reinforcement Laura Garrido was the leader in scoring for the Chiriquí Felinas with 24 points, the best on the boards with eight rebounds, six were defensive rebounds; one assist, three steals and four personal fouls; Layla Yee contributed with 13 points, five rebounds, three defensive, one assist, three steals, four fouls and Katherine González with 9 points, seven rebounds, five defensive and one personal foul.

The best offensive players for La U Girls Hoops were the Veraguense point guard Diobelis Batista with a double-double, she contributed with 22 points (2/7 from the three-point line and was perfect at the free throw line 10/10) , leader in rebounds with fifteen, nine were offensive; seven steals and two steals; followed by Crismar Rojas also with a double-double, she scored 15 points (9/12 of free throws, 75%), captured thirteen rebounds, seven defensive; two assists, four steals, three fouls and Kaysi Rodríguez finished with 9 points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Panthers win their first victory of the Campaign

The Panteras Sports Club quintet achieved its first victory of the campaign by a score of 64 to 49 against the Cobras Basketball Team, in a match held at the Teófilo “Panamá” Al Brown Arena in Colón.

Coclesana center Natasha Villar with a double-double, scored 11 points, was the best in rebounds with twenty-six, fourteen were defensive; Rosmeyris Acosta with 10 points, eight rebounds, six defensive; one theft and two misdemeanors; point guard Leanice Yearwook and Jehimily Boza both finished with 7 points.
