The National Assembly established the Venezuela-Democratic Republic of East Timor Parliamentary Friendship Group, with the objective of legislative exchange to address various topics of interest, within the framework of the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy.
The group is chaired by deputy Ricardo González and made up of the deputies of the Homeland Bloc Cecilia Perozo, Euribes Guevara, Renny Bonalde, Jessica Moreno, Nayary Linares and Arelis Orta; who assumed the commitment to build ties of brotherhood, solidarity and peace.
“East Timor is one of the 57 countries of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations (UN), which did not hesitate to support Venezuela and the president, Nicolás Maduro Moros,” said González.
For her part, the vice minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tatiana Pugh, expressed her closeness and intentions of cooperation. “Although Timor may seem like a strange and distant nation, it is much closer than everyone imagines.” He also gave a broad explanation about the historical evolution of that country, highlighting that “Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy must have an active presence with the Pacific countries, in the relentless search for peace.”
