Reality is like a vast ocean on a moonless night, infinite and uniform in appearance, although emerging towards its surface each wave carries imperceptible secrets that tried to stay underground in its deepest currents.
Today we sail in a small boat with the wind of our perceptions blowing out some crumbling sails, trying to decipher the mystery hidden in the sudden change of storm.
Once again the shadows of the apparent confuse our senses, we need certainty, a grounding cable, although the sad complicit spectacle of the media orchestra prevents us from completely deciphering the hidden reality that lies in its bowels.
It is clear that this reality is overwhelming the power, the communicators, propagandists and mythomaniacs who want us to believe that everything is fine, while the apparent is orchestrated with blackboards, lights and a lot of advertising, there is not a single structural solution to any of the problems that the country is going through, everything comes down to controlling the Agenda Setting, to using the media to create media shocks, and thus make us dizzy, distract us or confuse us, with cleverly empty explanations from a professor who has decided to take refuge in dogmatism. and theories to evade its reality. It is about winning one more day, as a person condemned to death would do, fleeing forward in order to try to cheat death.
The dream of an immutable reason produces monsters, of course reality will break their faces. This is the emerging middle class, which runs the serious risk of returning to poverty, for whom money is no longer enough, who sees how their money is becoming worth less and less, and their savings are shattered. Of course we don’t need to be pointed out to the culprit, because we know who the culprits are. The country observes with rage and impotence the petty fight of an old angri power policy, which is willing to set the country on fire, as long as it has the minimum option of governing among the ashes.
Common sense will once again take to the streets, to give us a bath in reality, that reality that hurts, that is unfair and that no longer goes unnoticed; the harsh truth that was always there, but that we did not want to see. Do we really need arsonists to shed light on the miseries, ineffectiveness and lies of power?
The olfactimeter of the old policy has plunged us into chaos and uncertainty, comparable to the 1982 crash. We have to start making decisions based on the processing of stored and available data, enter into the mining of large volumes of data (big data ), that allow us to make informed decisions, making forecasts and adapting each measure based on our own needs. Technology such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and AIs have to provide us with information in real time, allowing us to save time and optimize the allocation of our scarce resources. It is a matter of vision and having the courage to do what is necessary, to save Bolivia.
In this order of ideas, I share with you, dear reader, a concern related to the urgent need to start a discussion that allows us to continue with the construction of our country. I allow myself – in a defiant tone – to encourage you to think about some ideas that are the result of processes of reflection in different analysis groups that today think about Bolivia from a new approach, releasing the ideological burden that does not allow us to move forward.
1. The pandemic was the catalyst that accelerated the transformation of markets, towards a digital economy of e-commerce, teleworking, digitalization of services, AI, automation, crypto assets, cryptocurrencies and cybersecurity, the world is changing rapidly, and countries are fighting to adapt to this mutation of economic actors. We need a new economic model with a digital focus, based on technological innovation and rapid adaptation to new global environments with its own identity.
2. The fuel subsidy is unviable and we all know it, it is a hemorrhage that is bleeding the country dry.
3. It is necessary to adopt a flexible exchange rate to eliminate the black market and allow foreign currency to enter the country.
4. We need to become the main lithium battery manufacturer in the world, for this we require an international partner. We have already invested many years and millions of dollars, without any results. The State does not have the capabilities to do it alone.
5. We need to evaluate the possibility of holding a new Constituent Assembly or a partial reform of the supreme norm, we have a regulatory framework tailored to a person, which no longer adjusts to current national needs and interests. We emphatically affirm that reelection is detrimental to the country and we must eradicate it from our constitutional framework.
6. We need a great social pact to avoid convulsions, begin to build a culture of dialogue, understand that between regions we complement each other, that differences should not divide us and that blockades harm us all.
7. In the judicial field, let’s put an end to this carnival and the morbid manipulation of the institutions of the State. It is necessary to eliminate judicial elections, meritocracy must prevail, it is time to appoint the best judges.
8. Deepen the process of social inclusion, until racism is eliminated and thus consolidate the unfinished project of construction of Bolivian plurinationality.
9. Leaving aside the hatred and melancholies of our past, which do not allow us to move forward, the theme of the sea became an anchor that does not allow us to look to the future. To move forward it is important to learn to close cycles, leaving this issue in the past is a subject for which the new generations are already ready.
We need new ideas that seek to provoke a necessary debate, to begin writing, together, a new chapter in the history of our country.
