Mayors replicate model

Some mayors – mostly Morenistas – already hold public hearings and house-to-house tours in their respective districts, as a way of replicating the central government’s citizen service policy.

Janecarlo Lozanomayor of Gustavo A. Madero, launched the “Your Mayor in your Colony” program, where he will install citizen service modules once a week in parks or public places located in some of the neighborhoods of this district, to receive complaints from neighbors about urban services.

The mayor in Venustiano Carranza, Evelyn Parraimplements a program called “Your Mayor in your Colony”, to dialogue with neighbors and listen to the main demands in terms of security, roads, public lighting, tree pruning, among other items that fall under this order of government.

Last Wednesday, for example, Parra toured the Federal neighborhood, which has road conflicts because it is surrounded by main avenues such as Circuito Interior, Calzada Ignacio Zaragoza, Economía and Eje 1 Norte, and which has problems with potholes and silt in the drainage.

Gabriela Osorio, Morenista mayor of Tlalpan, whose district had an alternation in power, launched her hearing program called “Buenos Días, Tlalpan”, which will be held once a week inside the mayor’s government building.

Unlike other mayors, Osorio and his work team will receive residents through an appointment mechanism.
