“Unfortunately, the association between bad weather and the lack of electricity in the city is becoming increasingly real,” said retired dental surgeon Angela Guidini, this Saturday (19) in the morning, after yet another power outage in her apartment. , in the Saúde neighborhood, in São Paulo (SP). 
In addition to Angela’s house and despite the light rain, another 111,000 properties were left without electricity, according to Enel Distribuição São Paulo. There were 24 cities in the Greater São Paulo region affected by a lack of electricity.
In the capital, in addition to Saúde, the neighborhoods of Pinheiros, Vila Andrade, Jabaquara and Santo Amaro were also left without electricity. “In a large metropolis like the city of São Paulo, the lack of attention and competence with which we have experienced daily with the company Enel is unacceptable”, criticized the dentist.

According to the energy distributor, the company keeps its contingent mobilized and active this Saturday (19). There are 2,400 professionals on standby. “Rain, moderate to light, hit the concession area this morning, mainly the western and southern regions”, informed Enel, which did not provide deadlines for reestablishing supply.
In the Saúde neighborhood, power had returned at around 1:30 pm. But, according to the company’s bulletin, as of 3 pm, 93,452 customers in cities in the metropolitan region were still without electricity.
Last weekend, when a storm hit the city, approximately 3.1 million Enel customers were left without electricity. In some cases, the lack of supply lasted around a week.
