According to Andrés Velásquez, “America must be alert to individuals like Chávez and Maduro, who come to government with democratic rules and once in power, they disengage.”
Andrés Velasquez, national leader of LCR, questioned this Saturday, October 19, the first part of the bonus payment delivered by the government to public sector workers.
«Regarding the payment of bonuses, we remember that before Maduro, with our profits we could make hallacas, pernil, arbolito, paint the house, housewarmings and gifts for our boys and even to change appliances; but today that misery is not enough for anything,” said Velásquez through his account on the social network X.

In that sense, Velásquez insisted on calling on Maduro to recognize that he lost the presidential elections of July 28.
He also expressed that “another of the undeniable truths of this dictatorship is its repressive sadism.” Andrés Velásquez pointed out that this has been confirmed by the independent fact-checking commission of the United Nations, NGOs, the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the European Union, among other bodies.
“Everyone has seen more than 2,000 prisoners, torture, cruel treatment, defenselessness, no justice,” he added.
