Navy announces its High Command for the year 2022: 7 rear admirals go into retirement

The Chilean Navy announced this Thursday its new High Command for the year 2022, which was approved by the Government of President Sebastián Piñera.

In summary, 7 rear admirals are retired, as well as two rear admirals who had previously been called to service from the naval reserve, to serve in charge of SHOA and ASMAR, respectively. Another 3 rear admirals will also be promoted to Vice Admiral.

It has also been considered to terminate their call to active duty from the reserve to the following General Officers:
