With this triumph, Inter reached 49 points, in 6th place, just two behind Flamengo, 4th place and who were defeated 2-0 by Fluminense in this round. Grêmio remains with 35 points, now in 12th place.
The only goal of the match came in the 21st minute of the second half, when Argentine Bernabéi shot towards the area and Borré headed the ball past goalkeeper Marchesín.
