Mexican cities fail in the provision of public transportation services

The analysis is divided into two categories. In the first, which includes 11 cities with basic public transportation operated by small concessionaires, Villahermosa, Tabascoobtained 60.5 points out of 100 in various indicators.

They are followed by: Huamantla, Tlaxcala, Tepic, Nayarit and Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, with an average of between 56.3 and 50.5 points. In contrast, those with the lowest score were Durango, Oaxaca, Veracruz and Los Caboswhich reached just 40 points and Colima was the worst evaluated city with a score of 35.2.

In the second group, made up of 22 cities with an advanced degree of professionalization in public transportation, the Mexico City leads with 57 points out of 100, followed by Pachuca with 54.4 and Mérida with 50.97.

Monterrey, Nuevo León and Morelia, Michoacán, were the cities that obtained the worst evaluations in this category, being deficient in infrastructure and service to users.
