“We are convinced that the Cuban East will not only be a mandatory stop for visitors from all over the world, but also an example of sustainability, development and quality in tourist service,” said Carlos M. Latuff Carmenate, president of Gaviota.

“luxury” beach

Within the framework of the current edition of Destinos Gaviota, the regime launched the luxury brand “Luxury Beach”which promotes an experience “that combines the exclusivity of luxury with the essence and human warmth that characterizes Cuba.”

According to Latuff Carmenate, the project aims to “offer something different, something that would not only impress, but also make each guest feel as if they were in a unique place.”

The brand will initially operate in Playa Cayo Santa María, in Villa Clara; Vista Azul Beach, in Varadero; Playa Pesquero, in Holguín and Playa Luxury, in Cayo Guillermo. In these places the regime plans to include the best stretches of beach as part of the “exclusivity”, to sell a paradisiacal image of the stay in Cuba.

Destinos Gaviota took place just a few days after the Second International Macro Convention in Cuba DITGestión, held from October 5 to 12.

It was an exchange with 300 tour operators and representatives of the main tourist centers of the Island, carried out at the Grand Memories Holguín hotel. With a program that included tours of this province, as well as Santiago de Cuba and Baracoa, they promoted that area of the country for its commercialization as a tourist product.

While the regime tries to recover the depressed tourism industry, the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) of Cuba reported This Friday morning, the “total disconnection” of the National Electroenergy System (SEN) occurred after the departure of the Antonio Guiteras Thermoelectric Power Plant.

The Electrical Union (UNE) of Cuba had already announced that the blackouts would simultaneously cover 49% of the national territory during peak hours (evening-night) this Friday, after a day in which the generation deficit was even greater (51%).

In the midst of the critical energy situation, the Cuban regime announced this Thursday severe measures that seek to alleviate the deficit in electricity generation, a consequence of the lack of fuel and growing demand, as reported by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz in a television appearance.
