Since last October 10, the Department of Social Prosperity (DPS) has enabled a calculator with which you can know, with a few simple steps, the amount you will receive in the Citizen Income program and whether or not you are a beneficiary of this subsidy.

Citizen Income aims to help families in poverty and vulnerability through the lines Assessment of Care and Colombia Without Hunger.
The first line has 590 thousand beneficiaries; whose basis are households with mothers who are heads of household and children under six years of age.
The second, with 2.2 million beneficiaries, covers families with two-parent heads and children.
In addition to a comprehensive care route, households receive an economic transfer.
Care assessment pays $500,000 every 45 days; On the other hand, the amount of Colombia Without Hunger varies from $220,000 to $500,000 depending on the characteristics of each family.

Step by step
After some adjustments, Social Prosperity officially launched the Citizen Income amount calculator. These are the steps to use it:
• Enter this https://calculadora.prosperidadsocial.gov.co/.
• Select the department and municipality where you reside and are registered in the program.
• Find out how many people there are in your house with the following ages:
• Between 0 and 5 years
• Between 6 and 11 years
• Between 12 and 17 years old
• Between 18 and 29 years old
• Between 30 and 59 years
• People over 60 years of age.
• Ready. The calculator will show you how much money you will receive as a subsidy.
• For example: if a family lives in the municipality of La Apartada, Córdoba, and among its members there is a child between 6 and 11 years old, another minor between 12 and 17 years old, and an adult over 60 years old, it will have an amount of subsidy of $367,200.
• For its part, a household with a five-year-old child and residing in Envigado, Antioquia, will receive a Citizen Income payment of $220,000.
• “The value of the transfer is the sum of the individual monthly cost of each of the people who make up the household, with a minimum of $220,000 and a maximum value of $500,000. If any member of the household is a beneficiary of VAT compensation, the projection of the transfer amount will include this value”clarified Social Prosperity.
• Beware of links to false Citizen Income calculators
• If you search on the internet for ‘Citizen Income Calculator’, results may appear in portals that are not official Social Prosperity ones, so the information is not reliable.
• “This calculator is fake. Don’t fall for it!” said the entity about fraudulent links.
Remember that the official pages of Social Prosperity, as well as other government entities, have ‘.gov.co’ at the end of their URL.
How do I know if I have a Citizen Income transfer?
The beneficiaries of the subsidies are notified of the transfer through a text message on their cell phones. There they will tell them which place they should go to collect the payment.
Likewise, they have the possibility of entering the Banco Agrario platform to verify it:
