Sport Huancayo falls to Atlético Grau at home

Disappointment. In the midst of persistent rain, at the IPD Huancayo stadium, under the leadership of Jesús Cartagena, Sport Huancayo fell 3 to 1 against Atlético Grau de Piura.

The game started minutes late due to the persistent rain that fell in the Mantaro Valley. El Rojo started off with a “devilish” Jean Deza on the left wing, he didn’t mind falling into a puddle and was the most dangerous attacker.

Sport Huancayo was the owner of the match in all its lines with better scoring opportunities. At 14 minutes Marcos Lliuya almost surprised “Pato” Álvarez with a free kick. Hugo Ángeles wasted another clear opportunity.

In a counterattack at 40 minutes, Tomas Sandoval de Grau appears inside the area and in a half-turn he beats Joel Pinto and scores the goal for the visitor.

In the second half, despite the changes made by Franco Navarro, he could not beat an opponent who became the dominator. At 49 minutes Mauro Da Luz increases the score for Piura and at 56 minutes he scores one more.

At 86 minutes Lucas Cano scores the injury goal. The match ends with the score of 3 to 1. With this result Grau has 44 points and El Rojo is left with 37 in the accumulated score. This Tuesday, October 22, Sport Huancayo must face Alianza Lima at the Alejandro Villanueva stadium
