Trujillo, Arequipa and Lima win amateur eSports tournament

The ECUP tournament, the amateur eSports competition organized by the Technological University of Peru (UTP) with more than 35,000 soles in dispute and with free registration, came to an end. This event covered eight regions: Chiclayo, Chimbote, Piura, Ica, Arequipa, Trujillo, Huancayo and Lima.

The semifinals were played in the cities where the UTP campuses are located and the grand final was last October 6 in the capital, thus bringing together young talents from Dota 2, Valorant, Efootball and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

The Trujillo representative achieved first place in the individual Efootball tournament, taking home more than 5 thousand soles, while in the other video games 10 thousand soles were awarded per team.

In Dota 2, the cities of Huancayo and Arequipa reached the grand final, with the winner being the representatives of the White City. However, in Valorant, Arequipa came out on top and defeated the Lima representatives. For its part, in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang the winners were from the capital.

The grand finale in Lima was a milestone for the video game industry in Peru, thanks to the support of brands such as Yape, Lenovo, Claro Gaming, Radio Moda and Planeta. These companies, together with the UTP, contributed to positioning eSports as a growing industry and strengthening the Peruvian gamer community, also being present through gifts, raffles, activations and various activities for all attendees who came to the headquarters. from UTP to join the eSports party.
