Edesur Dominican carried out 70 disconnections to irregular users who were stealing energy in communities in the provinces of Barahona, Bahoruco and Pedernales, the distributor reported.
The disconnections were carried out in operations of verification in the localities from Ojeda, in the Paraíso municipality; Oviedo, in Pedernales; and the Vista al Lago sector, in Neiba.
During the intervention, several customers that they were not up to date with the payment of their invoices.
In one communication of press, Edesur He called on users who have not yet regularized their energy service to go to the nearest commercial offices to formalize their contracts, which will allow them to offer a higher quality service.
In the operations, various types of cables used for the theft of electrical energy, including “sweet wires”, cables telecommunications and spike.
Edesur recalled that the inappropriate use of cables increases the risk of accidents electrical and contributes to system instability.
