He leader This October 16, Nicolás Maduro led an act to finance the communal plans of the coffee growing sector. The president fantasized that “the day will come” when his administration manages to allocate 70% of the national budget to these types of projects.
At the event, he approved allocating 15 million dollars in financing to coffee producers in more than six thousand locations in the country. “The day will come when 70% of the Nation’s budget will be determined by the projects that the community decides with the Popular Power at the base, with the territorial power of the people,” he added.
According to Maduro, Venezuela has achieved notable empowerment and organization in the productive sphere. He said that his administration has followed former President Hugo Chávez’s desire to turn the commune “into a territorial, local engine of the transformation of Venezuelan society.”
«We have been applying a consultation method in the communal circuits. We have already had two national consultations. In 2025 there will be a quarterly consultation, four annual consultations for the people to debate, vote and decide on the priority projects of the Communal Circuits,” he explained.
He assured citizens that his administration is “reengineering” the planning processes to satisfy the needs of society. “Breaking with the old bourgeois State,” he added.
Nicolás Maduro asked to channel and resolve complaints from coffee growers about selling coffee at a fair price from the producer to the marketer. He noted that he is preparing special plans to support the cultural projects of the communities.
On the other hand, it approved allocating more than 60,000 dollars to the Tintoreros Artisans Bank to finance the projects of this sector of the population.
