Pedro Carreño: the guachafita with the National Symbols is over

Deputy Pedro Carreño presented to the plenary session this Tuesday in the National Assembly, the Bill to Reform the Law of the National Flag, National Anthem and Coat of Arms of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which was approved in the first discussion .

“There are four articles that must be reformed with extreme severity and rigor and they correspond to the punitive sphere since it is warranted to impose sanctions on those who dishonor the National Symbols. The guachafita with the National Flag is over! The guachafita is over with the Patriotic Symbols! The time has come for this parliament to bell the cat,” said the parliamentarian.

Carreño pointed out that two articles will be included, one referring to the process for the imposition of the corresponding sanctions, thus making the law regulatory, and another that will guarantee the right to defense, for which an article containing the judicial remedy will be included. , to be interposed by whoever considers it necessary.

He expressed that it is necessary to go together with the Venezuelan people so that with their “wisdom, this law is submitted to public consultation, to enrich it, strengthen it and that the Symbols of our Country are never again ignored, vilified, reviled and dishonored.”

“They call themselves Venezuelans, born in this country, they vilify, they revile the Symbols of our Country on the one hand, flipping the Flag, even athletes who are part of the national team, or Major League baseball players, I don’t know if they they use, but the love for our country is above all, that is priceless and cannot be sold to them,” he emphasized.

The parliamentarian warned that in this war against the nation, they have come to the disgrace of the National Flag, by subtracting one star from it.

He recalled that the Law provides for honoring the National Symbols, as well as defending them, as well as national cultural values.
