Maduro leads transmission of command of the Fanb

The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb), Nicolás Maduro, led the ceremony of transmission of command of the General Commands of the Army, Navy, Aviation and National Bolivarian Militia, of the Presidential Honor Guard ( GHP), of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin), General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim) and the eight Strategic Regions of Comprehensive Defense (Redi).

The event takes place from the Patio of Honor of Barracks 4F, in the 23 de Enero parish, Caracas.

“This is a solemn and highly significant act of strengthening the path of the Homeland. (…) We are on the right side of history and we have the military power that the Homeland required to be free, independent and sovereign,” stated the head of state.

In this sense, the National President delivered the Standard of the Component of the Bolivarian Army to the MG. Johan Alexander Hernández Lárez.

Likewise, he delivered the Standard of the Bolivarian Military Aviation to the MG. Lenín Lorenzo Ramírez Villasmil.

Likewise, he delivered the Standard of the Bolivarian National Navy to Admiral Ashraf Andel Hadi Suleimán Gutiérrez.

For his part, M/G Orlando Ramón Romero Bolívar received the Standard of the Bolivarian Militia from President Maduro.

Maduro also presented the Banner of the Presidential Honor Guard to the MG. Javier Marcano Tabata.

Maduro reiterated that Venezuela has a Bolivarian National Armed Force that defends it. “Venezuela has soldiers at the forefront of this beautiful battle of the 21st century, for the Homeland Power,” he asserted.

“Venezuela has a military power that defends it, it has a patriotic, revolutionary, Bolivarian and increasingly Chavista military power with deep popular, anti-oligarchic, anti-family and anti-colonialist roots,” he said.

He noted that this act ratifies the military power of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

New activities for military authorities

The Dignitary ordered, first of all, to walk alongside the soldiers to strengthen and improve the military well-being of the troops and officers, affected as you know by criminal sanctions.

He also ordered the Fanb to perfect the doctrinal, ideological and military technical training system, in addition, to advance in the adaptation of the defense system in the country.

As well as deepening the civic, military and police fusion as one of the priorities on which this renewal of the military forces should focus.

Changes in High Command

This Monday the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro announced some changes in the military high command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.

Through his Instagram account, the first National President, in a video recorded from the Army Military Academy, reported the following:

He ratified GJ Vladimir Padrino López as Minister of Popular Power for Defense, and G/J Domingo Antonio Hernández Larez as head of the Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb).

He appointed M/G Johan Alexander Hernández Larez to the General Command of the Bolivarian Army.

Admiral Ashraf Andel Hadi Suleimán Gutiérrez was appointed to the Bolivarian Navy Command.

In command of the Bolivarian Military Aviation, M/G Lenín Lorenzo Ramírez Villasmil.

Likewise, in the General Command of the Bolivarian National Guard, the M/G is ratified. Elío Ramón Estrada Paredes.

And in command of the Bolivarian Militia, M/G Orlando Ramón Romero Bolívar.

At the head of the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM) and the Presidential Honor Guard (GHP), M/G Javier Marcano Tábata, replacing M/G Iván Hernández Dala

And at the head of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (SEBIN), M/G Alexis Rodríguez Cabello was appointed, replacing G/J Gustavo Enrique González López. It should be noted that Rodríguez Cabello was military chief in Caracas, and was designated as the sole authority of the Guayana Esequiba state.

Likewise, the head of state announced changes in the REDI commands as follows:

    Western REDI.
  • MG. José Gregorio Martínez Campos.
    REDI Los Andes.
  • MG. Royman Antonio Hernández Briceño.
    REDI Los Llanos.
  • MG. Jesús Rafael Villamizar Gómez.
    REDI Central.
  • MG. Dilio Guillermo Rodríguez Díaz.
    REDI Capital.
  • MG. Juan Ernesto Sulbarán Quintero (Ratified)
    REDI Eastern.
  • MG. Wilfredo Alexander Medrano Machado.
    REDI Guyana.
  • ALM. José Rafael Hernández Abchi.
    Maritime and Island REDI.

“I thank those who carried out their work during all this time in the face of the important responsibilities that they carried out impeccably and I wish success to those who are called to serve. The mission is the same: to continue guaranteeing independence, security and peace, 3 primary assets of our beloved homeland,” reads the end of President Maduro’s message.
