In a statement, published by Foreign Minister Yván Gil in his social media accountsit was stated that Blinken is stuck in a false and monotonous narrative against the will of the Venezuelan people, expressed in the presidential elections on July 28.
“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects, in a forceful manner, the latest statements by the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Antony Blinken, who, turned into a charlatan at the service of infamous lobbyists, stuck in a false and monotonous narrative against the will of the Venezuelan people , insists on its complicity with the violent far-right extremists who have wanted to do so much damage to our country,” the text states.
He recalled that the victory obtained in the elections by the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, was a demonstration of the popular support that the Bolivarian Revolution has, as well as an exercise of dignity and an exemplary repudiation of the attacks that have been taking place for more than 10 years. have been applied against the country by the US Government.
“The obsessive politics of the Monroe Doctrine, as well as the neocolonial and imperial conduct of the Government of the United States of America, are the bases of support for fascist groups in the constant attacks against Venezuelan institutions, including the manipulation of the media and social networks. “, the use of mercenaries and the attempts at assassinations and destabilization,” the text adds.
