The senior team of Panama traveled, this Monday, to the South American Artistic Gymnastics in Aracaju, Brazil, a competition marked by the participation of young promises to experienced athletes who have been competing at an international level for years.
The Panamanian representation is made up of Lana Herrera, Hillary Heron, Karla Navas, Tatiana Tapia, Valentina Brostella and Victoria Castro. For the first three it will be their last competition in 2024, a year of a lot of work and success.
The president of the Panamanian Gymnastics Federation, Carlos Herrera, wished the team luck from whom he expects good results.
He also highlighted that in November, Panama will be present in three competitions. A team of three gymnasts goes to the Central American Rhythmic Gymnastics in Costa Rica, the children’s and youth team also travels to Paraguay and the Central American Gymnastics Championships in Guatemala, where the children’s, youth and senior teams will be present.
Also in November, Panama will host the Pan American Aerobics, from November 11 to 20 at the Hotel El Panamá, where the Panamanian Aerobics team will compete. Taking advantage of the attendance at this event in Panama, a Pan American Aerobics Camp will be held.
The Panamanian aerobic team will also be present in the Bolivarians and closes the year 2024 with a FIG 1 Academy in Panama, in December, with the aim of preparing coaches in this branch.
“We feel very satisfied with the performance of our athletes throughout the year,” said Herrera as the athletes left the Tocumen airport. He added that “we are sure that we will have a good presentation.”
