National Board of Justice evaluates performance of judges and prosecutors from Tacna and Moquegua

The National Board of Justice (JNJ) began in Moquegua the partial performance evaluation of 41 judges and prosecutors from Tacna and Moquegua with more than three years and six months in office since their appointment or last ratification.

In a press release, the JNJ reported that the evaluation day began in the morning with the exhibition “Justice and Sustainable Development Goals: challenges in the current context.” Then there was a presentation of cases for the application of the sustainable development goals. In the afternoon, topics related to ethics and integrity in judicial and fiscal functions were developed.

He also reported that the call signed with the number 002-2024-EVAPD/JNJ is addressed to 27 senior and specialized judges, as well as 14 provincial deputy prosecutors, provincial and senior deputy prosecutors of the judicial and fiscal districts of Tacna and Moquegua. And that the objective is to “strengthen and improve the justice system, promoting reliable, effective, efficient, transparent, suitable and corruption-free justice.”

Likewise, he noted that, unlike the comprehensive ratification evaluation, the partial performance evaluation is a process aimed at identifying the achievements, contributions, competencies, potential, limitations, opportunities for improvement and weaknesses of judges and prosecutors at all levels, in order to carry out actions in favor of the personal and professional development of the evaluated person.

The process of this call will end on December 13. Before, between December 4 and 5, the individual partial performance evaluation reports, with their final conclusions approved by the plenary session of the JNJ, will be notified to the evaluated magistrates.

The results will include recommendations and also the achievements that are evident. If applicable, training activities will be established for magistrates in coordination with the Academy of Judiciary (AMAG).

The JNJ mentioned that the evaluation day will continue tomorrow, October 15 in Tacna.
